On Christmas Eve, I had the opportunity to train with my brother, Travis, and his wife, Jenny. I was super excited at the opportunity to lift with the dynamic duo! Jenny wanted to kick-off her day with a little cardio before the real action in the weight room took place. Two workouts on Christmas Eve? Absolutely, sign ME up! So, my mom, Jenny and I ventured outside for a four mile run/walk. It was windy and chilly, but with movement you have the luxury of warming up as fast as you want!
After our cardio, Jenny and I decided to make Egg Whites and Oats Pancakes - only with a twist! The outcome was absolutely delicious, and perfectly balanced. I have said before and I will say it again, fuel and movement go hand-in-hand. Your workout results are guided by your eating. You'll find that it's impossible to reach 100% success in the weight-room without the proper fuel and without the proper balance. Plain egg whites and oats are an awesome way to start the day, but sometimes you just need to spice things up a bit. Here's a excellent solution to mix up the every day routine.

Directions
- Beat five (or whatever your heart desires) egg whites using a blender and/or hand held mixer until fluffy texture is reached (roughly 30 to 45 seconds).
- Add remaining ingredients and stir together.
- Spray a small frying pan with a natural medium to high heat oil and place on stove on medium heat.
- Pour "pancake batter" into small frying pan
- Cook on medium heat until bubbly, a little dry around the edges, and lightly browned on the bottom.
- Flip, cook other side.
- Enjoy! While I enjoyed this plain today, you could top with berries, or add a drizzle or raw honey or agave! Mmm so good!
